Prayer

Prayer is the conscious act of both listening and talking to God. Christians can approach God through Jesus His Son in the power of the Holy Spirit. Setting aside a little time to pray every day will ground your day in God and will start to transform you from your insides outwards. Many people say that they don’t know how to pray. Jesus’ disciples also asked Jesus how they should pray and from his answer we get what is known as The Lord’s Prayer. Learning this prayer by heart, here in its traditional version, will stand you in good stead on your spiritual journey.

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.
